AVATAR: The Way of Water
Watching Anew. Movie Review.
By Ari Cabello πΈπΈπΈ
Avatar 2 is the sequel to the first movie Avatar (2009) that follows sixteen years after the Na’vi people repelled the RDA invasion of Pandora. Jake Sully, the protagonist and the chief of the Omatikaya clan, raised a family alongside Neytiri with whom he had 3 children. A year during the occupation Jake led a guerilla campaign against the RDA during a counterinsurgency mission π₯Ί
After the mission failed, Jake was under the enemy line’s radar and they were on the hunt for him. His family then departed their colony and moved to the colony of the reef people – learning their ways and adjusting to their way of life.
As they were residing in that new colony, they learned that the RDA was also after the Tulkun (intelligent sea creatures). They attempted to stop their attack but there was a standoff that happened between Neytiri holding Spider hostage and Quaritch holding the kids as hostages π₯Ί
After the skirmish and their victory, Jake informs the leader of the clan that he leaves the Metkayina. The chief respectfully understood his decision after vowing to resume their campaign against the RDA πͺπ½
My Simple Review π€
What do you like about the movie-watching experience?
The visual effects of the scenes in the movie were very realistic, especially in some parts of the film. The underwater scenes were the most striking in terms of the visual effects they used while filming ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Who is your favorite character? Why?
I mostly liked the whale because he always made a big splash against the enemy lines in the movies. He had the underdog trope since they outcasted him but he made a huge comeback π
What lessons did you learn?
Family always comes first. The family should stick together and also defend each other no matter what π€
How can we apply these learnings to our lives?
We can forgive those who hurt us and show them mercy so they can have another chance to change their perspective toward us and other people ππ½
In summary, Avatar: The Way of Water is a must-see movie. Don’t miss your chance to watch it, enjoy it, and learn lessons from the film. Happy viewing! ππ»
